New England Trial Services (NETS®) was founded by Ian A. McWilliams in 2004 and has been growing ever since. Ian has assembled a talented group of consultants and technicians to assist NETS® clients in their video deposition, trial presentation, and video production needs.
Your satisfaction with the top of the line services New England Trial Services provides is our highest priority. After you get to know us, you will begin to see why we have dozens of clients who are not only satisfied but who recommend us to their friends and colleagues.
NETS® primally serves courthouses in the Suffolk County, Norfolk County, and Middlesex County areas of Massachusetts, but continues to provide services in Texas, California, New Jersey, New York, Florida and points in between.
You will frequently find the NETS® team in the Boston, Dedham, and Woburn area working with legal firms, recording depositions, and assembling day in the life clips to assist our clients in presenting their cases.
New England Trial Services is proud to support the American Society of Trial Consultants in the Pro Bono Outreach.

Ian A. McWilliams is the Founder and President of New England Trial Services and past Chair of the ASTC Professional Visibility Committee. He has videotaped thousands of hours of deposition testimony and electronic demonstrative evidence and participated as a trial technician in over 80 jury trials during his more than 20 years of legal video and trial presentation career. Ian’s references and vitae can be viewed here
Prior to forming NETS®, Ian was the Director of Media Services for the Boston office of a nationwide court reporting chain.
He began his career in the Presentation Industry, “back in the day”, when a “Multimedia Presentation” meant 64 slide projectors racked up behind a 12 foot screen; when a video projector weighed 75 pounds and was cooled by water and you could not point your camcorder at the light or you could burn the tube.
Ian has worked as a musician, audio recording engineer, rock band roadie, radio disk jockey, audio/visual tech, stage lighting director, sports cameraman, industrial video producer, and nightclub manager. He has worked for such clients as IBM, Farmers Insurance Group, Panther Productions, Waylon Jennings and the Monterey Jazz Festival.
